12 weeks
You're a grown woman. Capable, accomplished, holding a full life together. And yet — one phone call, one silence, one particular comment from your mother, and you're sixteen again. Bracing. Managing. Handing your own sense of reality over to someone who was never able to hold it. You feel whiplashed by guilt one day and resentment the next. You’re exhausted from feeling responsible for the relationship with your mom, you are navigating motherhood and how to be the best mom you can be, and you are desperate to feel the freedom of permission to live your life, on your terms.
This isn't about fixing your mother, or explaining her, or finally getting her to understand or fixing your parenting. This is about you — coming home to yourself, rooted in your own voice and your own authority, whether your relationship with your mother is close, distant, complicated, or gone.
THIS CIRCLE IS FOR YOU IF…
You've already done real work on yourself — and you’re still waking up at 2:30am, unable to fall asleep or stay asleep replaying the conversations you’ve had with your mom and wondering why she still hasn’t responded to your text. This is the only uninterrupted time of day you have to reflect and your body is waking you up because it knows you will be busy, focusing on kids, your business, your career. And you still grab your phone and re-read the texts between you and her, trying to figure how you should have re-worded your message so she will reach out to you soon.
You still over-analyze your own parenting fearful you will repeat the behaviors that left you feeling bad. You conclude that making a grand gesture, like taking her to lunch or sending her flowers might fix things, but you are so busy and burnt out, the idea feels draining just lying in bed thinking about it.
You think about what your friend with the great mother-daughter relationship does and you judge yourself for not being better, while simultaneously aching for a mom who showed up like hers does. You keep watching the clock, you only have a couple hours of sleep left and hope you can get rest because you have to be up for your own kids, your career, and have your shit together for everybody else. You judge yourself for still doing this, for not being more past this. You decide you’re lazy if you don’t get up in an hour and half to do your work out even though you’re exhausted. Instead of sleeping or exercising you land on being the best mom you can be in the morning before kids go out the door and you start the day focusing on what everyone else needs again. Rinse and repeat.
WHAT YOU'LL WALK AWAY WITH:
The ability to feel lighter and freer in your day, able to let go of hurtful messages or silences from your mom and to feel a deeper trust within yourself that you are not repeating the past with your own kid(s).
A steadier relationship with yourself heading into the holidays — one that doesn't depend on your mother's approval or absence.
Clarity: about how to handle disturbing texts, emails, or phone calls from her. No more second guessing every interaction.
Self Trust: Let go of constantly questioning your parenting interventions and step into your confidence as a mother
Freedom: from the belief that you are responsible for your mother’s happiness.
Relief: You will feel relief in recognizing that you cannot control or prevent her reactions, especially your mother!
Time for YOU: This group will hold you accountable to yourself, and you will rediscover and reprioritize your desires.
Nurturance: A small circle of women who get it, without you having to justify a single thing
the format
Weekly circle gatherings beginning in a grounded, warm space, convenient from your home.
Real structure, reflection, and ritual, not a support group where everyone commiserates and nothing moves.
Each week centers on a theme
speaking your needs,
reclaiming your personhood beyond your roles,
limiting what no longer serves you
finding new sources of maternal energy
you will set and work toward one personal intention or goal with the group's support.
STARTS: Fridays November, 6th 2026. 10:30am-12pm EST.

You don't need a mother to come home to yourself.
about Emily Bitner, M.S. LCPC, Mother-Daughter Attachment Coach
I come to you having walked the unmothered path. I entered into Motherhood, unmothered. It is far more common than most women realize which is why I felt passionate about supporting other women facing the same loss of nurturance. We don’t have control over who shows up for us, but we do have the ability to choose what serves us best. I have walked with women on their varying journeys of motherless or complicated mothering experiences. What I know for certain is, we need support and care when our moms cannot be there fully. I have dedicated my professional life to serving women who are navigating the complexity of not having a mom who can be there for them. I support women in reclaiming themselves, connecting to the Mother within and learning how to feel more comfortable leaning of friends and loved ones, understanding you’re not a burden, you are worthy and peace is possible.
